The Panama National Metrology Center (CENAMEP) is one of the best examples of the beneficial relationship between science and a country’s development. From its inception in 2002, CENAMEP’s services and studies have contributed directly to the level of competitiveness in Panamanian industries and guaranteed the necessary standards of quality for producers and consumers. In recent years, CENAMEP has achieved international recognition for its work implementing a quality system to support calibration and measurement capabilities and for the permanent formation of its human capital.
